Ride 2 School Day

Posted onCategoriesLatest News
Friday the 24th March is National Ride/Walk To School Day.
Our Students that don’t live locally also have the opportunity to participate by riding or walking to Carcoola Primary with a parent from the deli located just before the school.
The Deli has kindly opened the car park for us to park vehicles whilst accompanying children down to the school. We ask that all bikes and scooters please be locked at the bike racks as we don’t want any cherished items to go missing.
The event will go from 8am-8:30am. The P&C will meet you at the front of the school with a certificate of participation, a sticker and if you wish a piece of fruit.
We also know a lot of children won’t have the opportunity to participate in the mornings event and that’s okay because we have recently sent home a colouring in competition that is required to be handed back to the school by 23rd March.
We have been kindly donated a $200 voucher to be spent at Fleet Cycles for the over all school winner by the Shire of Murray & a senior & junior prize pack from 99 Bikes Mandurah these are the prizes for our colouring in competition winners!
Our fabulous art teacher will have the pleasure of selecting a:
•Overall school winner
•Senior winner
•Junior winner
The winners will be announced at Mondays assembly.
The overall school winner will win a $200 voucher to be used at Fleet Cycles
The senior winner will win prize pack 1 (photo1)
The junior winner will win prize pack 2 (photo2)
Thank you very much for these amazing prizes!
Our students are going to love them!

Bunnings Visit 2021

Posted onCategoriesLatest News

Students in the Junior Primary got crafty last week with a visit from Bunnings.  There was a lot of hammering and banging with no students (or staff) getting hurt! Thank you to Jane Parkinson-Jose and Hayley Neilson from Bunnings for being so patient with our kids and providing an awesome activity.

Cultural Yarning

Last Thursday, we were lucky enough to have a visit from Goomlamwiin and Aboriginal Cultural group from Mandurah. Kerry and Trevor spent the morning with students from  Pre Primary – Year 6, telling some stories and workiing on an art piece for each group. It was a great morning with Trevor providing the Welcome to Country for each group and singing a traditional song related to Kings Park.  The kids were all capitvated by the stories and created some awesome art work.  We will definitely be inviting them back next year for more opportutnities for our students to learn a more about the Aboriginal histories and cultures.
